STEEL GRIT

Steel Grit is an angular metallic abrasive produced by crushing cast steel shot. Steel Grit is used for descaling, coating and corrosion removal, and surface etching. The angular particle shape provides a fast cleaning rate and an angular surface profile.

Chemicals Composition
Carbon 0.85 -1.20%
Silicon 0.40 -1.50%
Manganese 0.35 -1.20%
Phosphorus <0.05%
Sulfur <0.05%

Standard Hardness :

The steel grit is manufactured by crushing the fully hardness shot to granular grit form, screening and tempered to three different hardness range as follow:
   GH      63 - 65
   GL      56 - 60
   GP      40 - 50

Microstructure :

The microstructure of steel grit shall be unifrom martensite, tempred to a degree consisten with the hardness range, with fine, wekk distributed carbids.
